As a working mother of two, Danielle struggled to find an early education program that not only offered the nurturing and loving environment she wanted for her children, but also a balanced educational program that challenged, engaged, excited and enriched young learners on a daily basis. Ms. Lindner, leveraged her 17 years in the education industry to create what is now The London Day School.
The London Day School was created by Danielle R. Lindner, M.A.T who saw a need for an enriching, challenging and socially engaging program for young children. A specialty designed curriculum incorporates character education into a scaffolding approach to learning. Her program develops essential academic skills as well as children’s social and emotional intelligences.
Danielle Lindner is a member of the SCBWI (Society for Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators) and a certified Early Educational and Elementary Teacher in the State of New Jersey. Always having a view to a career in education, Danielle gained an M.A. in Teaching and Elementary Education (Hons.), from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1996. She has worked as a teacher, trainer and educator for over 18 years in both public and private educational institutions.
Sofia the Snail, “The little snail that was afraid of the dark,” is the first book in a series of character education stories for young children that Ms. Lindner has written. Her second book in the series, Arabelle, “The bat with the most wonderful pink glasses,” is also part of the London Day School (LDS) Character Education Program, entitled Kind Kids Curriculum. The curriculum is anchored by a fun loving Kind Kangaroo named Koby that easily identifies with the challenges and issue that little ones encounter on a daily basis.
Ms. Lindner is also a contributor to The Alternative Press as the author of Nursery U, articles for parents and educators. She is the mother of two and actively participates in community projects and programs that support and foster the wellness and joy of children in need.
